Praise the Lord, He kept us and preserved us from calamity during and after the flood last year. Paul’s encounters with Elymas (Acts 13:6-12) and with the slave girl (Acts 16:16-18) highlight the need for discernment for missionaries in their confrontation with the kingdom of darkness. Paul also exercised discernment at Lystra when he perceived the lame man believed, and could be healed (Acts 13:8-10).
