Thank the Lord for the newly baptized converts on the mission fields (Kamoro, Logbonou, Bouko, etc). Bless God for the resources mobilized by the church in Badikaha to begin and complete the construction of a temple. Thank God for other building constructions in progression on other fields. Pray for their completion. Ask the Lord to provide sound equipment for Logbonou field as the one they were using is defective. CFA 157,000 is needed.
30 Things to Pray about for Missionaries
DAY 10: DISCOURAGEMENT
To be discouraged is to lose courage and faint in heart. It is to lose the will and confidence to press on to achieve set goals and targets. Many things, physical, emotional and spiritual tend to discourage missionaries on the field. Obstacles, unfulfilled expectations, slow results, spiritual attacks, lack of supplies, late supplies, stress, etc. are examples. Many get to points when, like Elijah, they give up and declare, “It is too much, LORD, take away my life: ministry (1 Kings 19:3-4). At such times, they need their hearts to be established by grace.
- Come against every form of discouragement and unfulfillment in the life and ministry of missionaries.
- Ask God for tokens of encouragement in specific areas of the work.
- Ask that their heart be established by grace.
But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I give Egypt as your ransom, Cush and Seba in exchange for you. Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you, I give men in return for you, peoples in exchange for your life. Isaiah 43:1-4
- Ask that this promises in Isaiah 43:1-4 will be real in their lives.
