Bless the Lord for the labour of the missionary in raising indigenous Disciples of Christ in the land. Pray for the disciples to keep living their lives in Christ whom they have received. Pray for them to be deeply rooted in him so much that no custom or tradition of man will take them captive. Our disciples have been scattered from this community to other villages because of bandit attack, pray for God to uphold and protect them. Pray that like the Disciples of old, who maximized the opportunity of the scattering abroad to live for Christ and proclaim the gospel, they also would be Christ witnesses in their present places of abode. Pray for God to arrest and prevail against the troublers of the peace of the land. Pray for restoration of peace permanently in the land. Ask God to Increase his protection over the missionary as well as to supply all his needs.

Day 15: Prayer Life
It is possible for a missionary to be like Martha: distracted with much serving and worried and troubled about many things” (Luke 10:40-41) to have enough quality time to sit at Jesus’ feet and hear His word, like Mary did (Luke 10:39). Preaching engagements, visitations, counselling, meetings, opening new fields, pastoring older ones, tent-making activities, etc. are all legitimate activities that may stifle the prayer life of a missionary. Like Jesus counselled, “Mary has chosen the good part which will not be taken away from her”.
- Intercede for a quality prayer and word study life for missionaries.
- Ask that they will prioritize their activities aright giving first place and time to being with Him.
- Pray that Psalm 63 and 84 will be the heart cry of missionaries.
